This website
The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. It is hosted by Netlify, whose servers keep standard access logs (IP address, browser and pages requested) for a short time, for security and to keep the site running.
The contact form
If you use the contact form, we receive what you type: your name, role, college, email address and message. Netlify stores the submission and forwards it to our business email.
We use it to reply to you and to deal with your enquiry. We don't add you to a mailing list or use it for anything else. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
Submissions are deleted from Netlify within twelve months. The email copy is kept in our business mailbox for as long as we need it to deal with your enquiry and any work that follows.
You don't have to use the form. You can email hello@thinkalumni.com instead.
Who handles it
| Supplier | What it does | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Netlify | Hosts this site and receives contact-form submissions | US |
| Microsoft 365 | Our business email | UK and EU |
Both handle your information only to provide their service to us, under written terms. For Netlify, a US company, the transfer relies either on UK adequacy regulations, where the supplier is certified under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or on the ICO's International Data Transfer Addendum to the supplier's standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, and have it corrected or deleted. You can also object to how we use it. Email hello@thinkalumni.com and we will reply within a month.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at any time: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113. We would welcome the chance to put things right first.
